Transfer Rumours - 23/06/2012

Luka Modric

Several clubs are vying for the influencial Croatian, with his current club Tottenham wanting to secure his services for atleast another season, he also has suitors at Manchester United, Real Madrid and wealthy french side PSG, it is expected thet Modric will want to leave White Hart Lane this summer and Real Madrid are rumoured to have closed in on a deal.

Olof Mellberg

The former Aston Villa man has had a fantastic Euro 2012 campaign despite his team's early exit after the Group Stage. He is one of the few to emerge with credit from their relatively poor performances and is understood to have attracted interest from Everton.

Daniele De Rossi

In a recent interview, De Rossi stated he had interest from several European clubs and has done for a number of years, notably stating Manchester United as one. He admits to his interest in English football stating he admires Steven Gerrard greatly and would love to play in the country.

Salomon Rondon

The lesser-known 22 year old Venezuelan striker is rumoured to have attracted interest from Chelsea and Liverpool after an impressive season for Malaga in La Liga.

Thiago Alcantara

It was briefly suggested recently that Thiago could be a target for Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson, who apparently greatly admires the youngster.

Hulk

Chelsea continue in their race to sign the powerful Porto striker, with the Porto club president stating that 'no official bid has been made'. However, we expect that this deal WILL happen at some point during this summer.

Mario Mandzukic

The Croatian has attracted interest from Everton after a couple of good performances at Euro 2012, however it is understood that while he is willing to take on a 'new challenge' he would prefer a move to Italian giants Juventus.

Leighton Baines

After a severe hike in activity surrounding this mans supposed transfer to Manchester United, this proposed deal has gone quiet with little news being heard from either end. United's supposed interest in Jordi Alba or the fact Baines is currently with the England squad could be contributory factors to this.

Olivier Giroud

The Montpellier frontman has practically declared his club of choice for next season via Twitter. After tweeting the simple word 'Gunner', the tweet was swiftly removed, but not quickly enough so that people didn't notice it. This would seemingly confirm what has been rumoured for weeks and that Giroud will join Lukas Podolski as an Arsenal player next term.
